Event staffing NYC

Top Trends in Event Staffing for 2023

Event staffing is a critical aspect of any successful event, and with the ever-changing landscape of the events industry, it’s essential to stay up-to-date with the latest trends. Here are the top trends in event staffing for 2023.

  1. Hybrid Event Staffing

With the pandemic continuing to affect the events industry, hybrid events have become increasingly popular. This means that event staffing will need to be versatile and adaptable to work both in-person and virtually. Hybrid events will require event staff who are comfortable with technology and can seamlessly transition between in-person and virtual interactions.

  1. Sustainability and Eco-Friendly Practices

Sustainability is no longer just a buzzword; it’s becoming a standard practice in the events industry. Event planners and marketing professionals are increasingly seeking staffing agencies that prioritize eco-friendly practices. This includes using sustainable materials, minimizing waste, and promoting environmentally responsible behaviors.

  1. Personalized Experiences

One size does not fit all when it comes to staffing. Personalized experiences are becoming increasingly popular, with event planners seeking staff who can cater to their specific event needs. This means that staffing agencies will need to have a diverse pool of talent with a range of skills and personalities to provide customized experiences for each event.

  1. Diversity and Inclusion

Diversity and inclusion have been a long-standing issue in the events industry, but it’s becoming increasingly essential. Event planners are seeking agencies that prioritize diversity and can provide staff who represent a range of cultures, backgrounds, and identities. This includes promoting gender equality, inclusivity for people with disabilities, and racial diversity.

  1. Technology Integration

Technology is continually advancing, and top agencies will need to keep up with the latest trends to provide the best possible service. This includes using technology to streamline processes, enhance communication, and improve event experiences.

As an event staffing agency that staffs across the USA, we at Promotional Models NYC are committed to staying up-to-date with the latest trends in events and staffing. Hire Bartender

Hire Bartenders For Your Next Big Event

Are you hosting a party, company event, or wedding? If so, hire bartenders to make sure that your guests are taken care of. Bartending is not just about mixing drinks – it’s also about customer service and being the face of the night for your guests. This blog post talks all about hiring bartender for an upcoming event.

When you’re hosting an event you’re going to want hire bartenders so that you and your guests can enjoy the party. The more stress you can alleviate, the better! If you hire the right bartender, they will know how to handle certain situations and can deal with whatever your party guests might throw at them. Hire bartenders who are friendly, easy going, and have a good sense of humor!

The first thing you should do when hiring a bartender is think about what type of event it’s going to be. Are you hosting a casual party or are you trying to impress your guests? If it’s going to be more laid back, hire bartenders who can make simple drinks. If the event is for something like an anniversary celebration, then go with someone who has more experience and knows how to mix all types of cocktails. Even request they make a special cocktail specific to your event theme!

Next, figure out what type of bar set-up will work best for the event. If you’re hiring bartenders, then it’s always good to have a bar set up in an open area so that your guests can easily go get drinks when they need them. However, this might not be possible if your party is small or more informal – make sure you let your bartender know what type of situation they are walking into.

Always tell your bartender how much you are willing to spend so they can adjust their tips accordingly – it’s important that the bartenders know what they should be earning at minimum and make sure all of them agree on this number before hand! When hiring a bartender, always ask for references because if someone has good recommendations, then chances are they’ll be a great bartender!

Be clear about duties you expect your bartenders to take care of. Make sure they are not only mixing drinks but also checking in with guests, bringing fresh ice or garnishes if needed, and restocking the bar as necessary. Do you need help with set up or cleaning? If so, be sure to tell your bartender or agency in advance.

When hiring bartenders for an event always double check that they have all the tools and supplies needed – including ice pourers if you need them! Ask what type of liquor/beer they’ll use and request a list of things they will bring with them (cups, garnishes, etc.). Depending on your state, they will need certain alcohol certification

You can find any kind of bartender from agencies such as ours. We send out professional bartenders for all types of events, so contact us now to learn more. Fully screened, trained, and ready to bartend for your upcoming party! Hire bartender for your next event so that you can focus on having fun! You’ll be glad you did.

Modeling Agency In NYC: The Complete Guide

Are you interested in modeling? Do you want to get your foot in the door of the fashion industry? Are you looking for a reputable modeling agency in NYC that can provide guidance and support on how to model professionally? If so, then this article is for you! We will be discussing all aspects of modelling such as what it takes to become a successful model, what agencies are worth working with, and some tips on how to land your first gig.

What is a model/talent agency?

A talent or modeling agency will act as your agent by helping to book auditions, meetings and jobs for their models. They typically work on commission (a percentage of your earnings) or flat fees depending on your specific arrangement.

How do you get started?

To become a model, you first need to know what agencies are out there. It is extremely important that your portfolio be up-to-date and taken by an experienced photographer who has experience shooting models (meaning they don’t look awkward in photos). Such photographers can usually be found through word of mouth or on reputable modeling forums. Make sure to do your research, read reviews and bring a long a trusted friend.

D.on’t forget your measurements!

All agencies will ask for your measurements, so it’s important that you bring a tape measure with you on the day of your shoot. You can have these ready ahead of time or just write them down on a piece of paper and keep it in your purse/wallet. Don’t forget to include all four measurements: bust , waist , hips , height .

Keep these measurements handy!

Having your measurements on hand will help you to be prepared for any potential modeling opportunities. If an agency asks you to come in without them, they are probably not legitimate and should be avoided at all costs. Remember that if someone promises something too good to be true, it usually is (especially when it comes to the world of modeling).

What are their rates?

Every agency has different rates that they charge. Always ask up front what is required from you in order to work with them and be ready when it comes time to pay for their services (although most reputable agencies don’t require payment upfront). Also, some will have a contract that you will need to sign with them. Make sure to read this carefully so you know what is expected of you and how much it will cost.

What are their requirements?

Every agency has different requirements that need to be met in order for them to represent you as a model. Some may require specific measurements or height/weight ratios while others might want photos of previous modeling work (whether professional or not). Make sure you do your research and know exactly what they are looking for before you walk in the door.

How do I get an audition?

Some modeling agency in nyc may hold open calls while others will schedule auditions privately with their staff. If there is no set process, then it’s best to call or email them ahead of time so that you can find out where/when to show up. Don’t forget your measurements, photos and any other relevant information on the day of your audition!

What’s involved in an agency contract?

As mentioned before, some modeling agency in nyc will have a signed contract with you that needs to be completed during or after your time spent working together. Make sure that all terms are clearly written out and that you fully understand what is expected of you. If something doesn’t seem right, don’t be afraid to ask for clarification or seek out another agency as they may not have your best interests at heart!

What kind of work can I expect?

Some agencies will focus solely on providing models with auditions while others might provide more long-term opportunities (such as hosting their own events or working on a campaign). It’s important to know what you’re looking for before signing on the dotted line and make sure that your expectations are realistic.

What should I expect from my agent?

Agents can be extremely helpful in helping you book jobs, providing advice and even connecting you with other industry professionals. That being said, they are not mind readers and you still need to be proactive when it comes time for them to work on your behalf! Make sure that you let them know what type of modeling opportunities interest you most so they can best represent your interests/talents in the fashion community.

What should I avoid?

There are plenty of scammy agencies out there (especially if you live in a smaller city/town). Make sure that the agency is legitimate before signing anything and don’t be afraid to ask for references from other models they represent! Also, make sure that all fees up front are clearly spelled out as soon as you enter into any agreement with them.

What should I look for in an agency?

There are literally hundreds of agencies out there, so take your time when searching and make sure that you’re working with someone who has a solid reputation (and not just online reviews). You can also ask other models or even their clients about the experience they had when working together. If they have a long list of complaints, then you know that this might not be the best fit for your portfolio!

What does an agency look for in new models?

While there is no set answer to this question, most agencies will work with anyone who has what it takes and looks like they could become successful. That being said, don’t be surprised if you get turned down by a few agencies before you find the perfect match.Agencies will typically work with anyone who has what it takes to become successful (looks, personality and talent).

Best Agency For Modeling: Which One Is For You?

It can be hard to know which modeling agency best suits your needs. There are many agencies out there, and each one has different qualities that make it unique. In this blog post, we will explore the best agency for modelling and help you find the best fit!

Modeling agencies provide a number of benefits to all the people involved, from models and actors/actresses to other industry professionals.

The best agency for models will be able to do this best by offering:

– A great reputation in the industry and an extensive list of contacts that can help you get jobs (and potentially build your career)

– A chance to meet with the best photographers and directors in your industry

– Highly trained agents who can coach you through each step of the job hunting process. They will know what employers are looking for, how best to market yourself, and more!

The best agency for you is one that understands your needs best. Some agencies may focus on a particular type of modelling, while others might be best suited to fashion models or commercial/print models, and others for promotional events. Regardless, the best agency for modeling will always respect your needs and work hard to help you achieve success in this industry!

First and foremost figure out what YOU need out of an agency.

What are your modeling goals? Do you know the type of model fo you want to be? The best agency for modelling for you will be one that best understands and can support where you want to go in this industry.

Agencies usually focus on helping models get jobs/gigs or build their career, whereas photographers often specialize in building portfolios.

You may best be suited to a boutique agency that has a more personalized approach. These agencies typically have less models and often focus on particular individuals, so they can best understand your needs/goals best. The best agency for you will depend largely on what you want from your modeling career!

A word of caution, though: don’t be fooled by shiny promises!

Make sure to do your research best when looking for an agency, and learn as much about each one you’re considering best before signing up! If they promise fast success without any work or interaction on your part, then that’s probably not the best agency for modeling. Good agencies will respect their models best and understand that building a career is hard work.

If you are looking for an agency, one of the best ways to find out more about them is by asking around! Models best working with the same agencies will have some insight into their reputation in this industry best. You’ll be able to judge which model agencies are best suited best to you best once you know what your modeling goals are.

If it seems like they don’t have time for you, if their communication is poor best or there aren’t updates on the industry best, then that’s probably not the best agency for modelling! Good agencies want to help their models succeed and will always be updating them with new best industry best. Be careful with agencies requesting money upfront, most legitimate agencies won’t charge money to join.

Event Staffing

Event Staffing in the United States: Brand Ambassadors

What is the best way to promote your brand? One of the most effective ways is by using a brand ambassador. A brand ambassador will wear your company’s logo and represent you at events, trade shows, or other public events.

This type of marketing tactic can be very cost-effective in comparison to other options like TV commercials or magazine ads. In this blog post we’ll discuss what event staffing in the United States entails as well as how hiring a brand ambassador could help increase visibility for your company!

The United States is home to many diverse cultures and lifestyles, which can make it difficult for brands to reach all of their target audiences. Brand ambassadors are the perfect way to promote your company with a more personal touch.

There’s been a significant increase in event staffing as businesses seek out new ways to market themselves through an emotional connection rather than relying on impersonal tactics like TV commercials or magazine ads. As a result, event staffing is quickly becoming one of the most popular marketing tactics in America!

So How Does Event Staffing Work?

Event staffing in the United States usually entails hiring experienced ambassadors or models to represent your company at an event, trade show, or other public events. For example, if you’re launching a new product line and want more visibility for your brand, then you might hire some people as “brand ambassadors” who would wear t-shirts with your logo on them while they’re walking around outside.

From small an intimate events, to nationwide marketing campaigns, event staffing can be a cost-effective way to reach more people and get your brand in front of new audiences.

Curious where you can utilize them? Anywhere from guerrilla street marketing, trade shows, influencer events, fashion shows, and so much more.

In such a saturated market, customers are exposed to thousands of brands every day. Emotional marketing campaigns like event staffing can help you make an emotional connection with your customers.

That emotion could be happiness, excitement, intrigue – the possibilities are endless! Evoking an emotion in your customers can help drive more sales, and event staffing is a great option for this!

Not sure how to use event staff during the pandemic?

As the pandemic continues in America, we’re learning more and more about how to use event staff for maximum effectiveness. One important consideration is utilizing brand ambassadors to uphold proper safety protocol on site for events.

Brand ambassadors can make sure guests are distancing, wearing proper PPE, and sanitizing. This is a great option for events that are expecting a high volume of guests, like trade shows, during these unpredictable times.

If you’re interested in hiring event staff or brand ambassadors to represent your company at an event, then contact us today! We specialize in providing the best quality service when it comes to event staffing and we’ll work with you every step of the way to ensure your event is successful!

Staffing for luxury events

Staffing For Luxury Events

Luxury events are a huge part of the hospitality industry. They can range from weddings, corporate events, or parties for individuals. All of these types of celebrations require staff to help ensure that they are successful and enjoyable for all guests that attend. This blog post will discuss how you can find the best staff possible for your luxury event staffing needs by following a few simple steps!

Staff for luxury events can vary depending on the type of event. For example, weddings often require catering staff, guests RSVPing, and food service. Corporate events may need wait staff to serve drinks or bartenders for alcohol service. Parties typically require a combination of the two with servers also serving as hostesses when needed. The you have marketing activations, commercials, trade shows and more, all requiring top talent to make sure the event is perfect. The type of event can help you determine what types of staffing is necessary so that your event goes off without any hitches.

To Get Started:

– Determine what type of event it is and what you require for staff at the event.

– Consider the size of your event. Is it a small party with 20 guests or is it an extravagant corporate event?

– Make a list of what types of staff you need and start to look for people who can fill those positions.

Best Practices:

– Know your price range and determine which tier is best for you. The pricing can vary depending on the expected size and scope of your event, as well as how many days are required.

– Find a luxury event staffing agency that caters to the niche; ie catering, waitstaff, bartenders, marketing activation experts etc.

– Make sure the staffing agency, and their talent, are well versed and experienced with testimonials to prove it. When working on luxury events there is no room for error. When looking at potential candidates, always be sure to make note of their experience. Ideally, you want people who have experience in your type of event specifically and also know the ins and outs of what goes on behind the scenes. For example, with an elaborate corporate event that requires bartenders for drinks service, a candidate’s resume wouldn’t be considered if they only had catering experience as their cocktail skills would not be up to par.

– Hiring yourself without an agency? Include all this info in your job listing to attract the best candidates for your event.

At Promotional Models NYC, we do our part by hiring a diverse range of staff that have experience in many different areas so that they can be prepared when called on anytime during the year! We are always looking for people that are passionate about the hospitality industry and want to help make our clients’ events successful every time. We staff all across the United States and our sister agency, Femme Fatale Media, staffs across Canada. Contact us today to learn more.

Emily Lyons Top Canadian Entrepreneur

Meet Our Founder and CEO, Emily Lyons!

Promotional Models NY is the sister company of Femme Fatale Media, one of the world’s top promotional modelling companies with its home base in Toronto, Canada. The company was started by the indelible Ms. Emily Lyons and her improbable success story has now inspired thousands of people around the world.

From high school dropout to serial entrepreneur, podcaster, author and philanthropist, Emily has travelled the road of hard knocks – keep an eye out for her upcoming book for the full story! Emily is the middle child of three children; both her siblings were born with the terminal disease Cystic Fibrosis and Emily was spared. At 16 she dropped out of school and for a long time lived working multiple minimum wage jobs just to make ends meet. Her life changed when her sister Julia (who sadly passed in 2011) gifted her an entrepreneurial book about turning your passions into a profitable business. It was unusual for Emily to read through the many books her bookworm sister sent her, but she tore through this one. Her one passion? Promotional Modelling. Emily had been working as a promotional model as a side hustle for many years and it was the first job she was passionate about.

Emily Lyons

Something about the book her sister gave her ignited a fire within her and she decided then and there that she was going to start her own promotional modelling company; the fact that she had $80 to her name, people told her it wouldn’t work and she had no business experience wasn’t going to stop her! What she did was work, and work tirelessly. Through many trials and errors, step by step, Femme Fatale Media was born. The death of her sister occurred when she had just started the business, and the devastating loss near totalled her. Emily’s is a story of perseverance through unthinkable grief and endless hurdles both inner and outer.

The first few years of her business, she doesn’t think she slept – she did all the work herself (website, blogs, gigs, hiring, payroll, you name it) and through her creativity and insanely hard work, the company began to skyrocket and achieve international fame. Now Femme Fatale Media offers not only promo models but brand ambassadors, experiential marketing, event staffing and marketing and public relations.

Realizing she was a born-entrepreneur, through happenstance experiences, she launched her other companies: True Glue Beauty (a completely clean makeup brand), Lyons Elite (an elite matchmaking company), JWLS (a luxury watch company with all proceeds going to a foundation in honour of her sister Julia Lyons), and began a successful podcast all about entrepreneurship and business. On top of all of this, she hosts a wildly popular room on Clubhouse meant to inspire and uplift, often starts campaigns to raise money for cystic fibrosis research and has more businesses in the works. She’s truly unstoppable.

Promotional Models NY and Femme Fatale Media are still her “first children,” and is very active in constantly ensuring they are impeccable. Besides her businesses, her three dogs are her absolute obsession. So find her on her IG, LinkedIn, make a connection and let her work her magic for your upcoming event!
